WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. — Day 2 of the Palm Beach Kennel Club World Series of Poker Circuit kicked off Friday at noon ET with the first of four starting flights in Event #3, a $580 re-entry tournament. The opener attracted a field of 208 entries that would eventually play down to 27 remaining following 15 levels. Complementing Flight A was be Flight B which began at 6 p.m. The latter flight topped out at 97 entries bringing the two-flight total to 305. Flight B is still underway and will remain that way until play wraps shortly after 3 a.m. Complete chip counts from Flight B will be posted in the morning. In the meantime, Flight A chip counts are available HERE.

Grabbing the Day 2 headline and running away with it, though, was current November Niner Joshua Beckley. Beckley began Day 2 of Event #1 ($365 Monster Stack) with the chip lead and parlayed his advantage into a gold ring victory. In addition to pocketing more than $22,000 and donning his first tournament trophy, Beckley became the first player in the history of the November Nine to earn Circuit gold while still in Main Event limbo.

More on his impressive win is available HERE.

Joining Beckley in the winner’s Circle on Day 2 was Matthew Ezrol of Coconut Beach, Fla. Ezrol came out on top of a much smaller, 57-player field in Event #2, a $365 HORSE tournament. He earned $6,412 and his first gold ring.

More on that win can be found HERE.

With Beckley and Ezrol firmly in the winner’s circle,  Flight A in the books and Flight B set to wrap in about three hours, we are heading home for the evening. Cards go back in the air for the PBKC Circuit Saturday at noon with Flight C of the re-entry.
