TOM MASINTER STEALS THE SHOW IN TAHOE

Tom Masinter captures his second career gold ring by winning the opening event of the Tahoe series.

Stateline, Nev. (October 30, 2015) --  The second day of the Harveys Lake Tahoe series awarded the first of 12 gold rings. Tom Masinter was the man to capture that ring. He defeated his good friend, Craig Nicholls, heads-up to earn his second career WSOP Circuit gold ring.

Meanwhile, the rest of the tournament tables were being used for Event #2- $365 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry. Today featured the first two of three starting flights in the re-entry event. Unofficially, Flight A drew 208 entires, while Flight B registration is still yet to be closed. Both flights are playing 15 levels before bagging for the night. Players that survive the day will return Sunday at noon for Day 2 and the conclusion of the tournament.

Chip counts from both flights will be made available tomorrow. The prize pool will not be known until tomorrow after registration for Flight C closes.

Poker action will start back up Saturday at 9 a.m. with a $65 Mega Satellite into Flight C of Event #2 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry. Here is a look at tomorrow's gold ring schedule:

  • 11 a.m. - Event #2 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry (Flight C)  - Day 1C
  • 4 p.m. - Event #3 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em - Day 1
