DAY 1 - HORSESHOE SOUTHERN INDIANA

The series gets underway at noon with Event #1 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em.

Elizabeth, Ind. (Oct. 1, 2015) -- The 2015-2016 World Series of Poker Circuit at the Horseshoe Southern Indiana casino gets underway today at noon with the first of 12 gold ring events. The series kicks off with a $365 No-Limit Hold'em tournament. This tournament will produce the first gold ring winner of the series and will give that player the early lead in the Casino Championship.

Here is a quick rundown of Event #1:

  • Players begin with 10,000 chips
  • Blinds begin at 25/50
  • Levels 1-12 are 30 minute long, levels 13-21 are 40 minutes long and levels 22+ are 50 minutes long
  • Registration will remain open until the start of Level 9 (~4:20 p.m)
  • Day 1 will conclude at the end of Level 21 (~2:00 a.m.)
  • There will be a one hour dinner break at the end of Level 12 (~6:30 p.m)
  • Surviving Day 1 players will return for Day 2 and the conclusion of the tournament tomorrow at 2 p.m.

There are two non-gold ring tournaments today as well. Both of these tournaments do not award points toward the Casino Championship.

  • 3 p.m. - $200 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo - One $1,675 Main Event seat added to the prize pool
  • 7 p.m. - $130 Nightly No-Limit Hold'em - One Event #2 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry seat added

The $200 Turbo tournament is scheduled to run at 3 p.m. Oct. 1, 2, 5-7 and 9. Each turbo tournament will have additional value with one Main Event seat being added to the prize pool. The $130 Nightly is scheduled to run at 7 p.m. Oct. 1-7, 10, and 11. All Nightly tournaments will have additional value with the winner receiving entry into the next day's gold ring event.
