HORSESHOE TUNICA CIRCUIT SERIES BEGINS THURSDAY
Tunica, Miss. (January 19, 2015) — The World Series of Poker Circuit heads to Tunica, Miss. this Thursday for the 12th stop of the 2014/2015 tour. Horseshoe Casino plays host to the 12-day poker festival for the first time in the property’s history and opening weekend kicks off with a $365 re-entry event. The Circuit’s signature opener, Horseshoe’s installment of the tournament features three starting flights beginning Friday, January 23 at 5 p.m and Saturday, January 24 at noon and 5 p.m.

Other notable events on the schedule include a $365 six-handed event, a $580 no-limit hold’em event, and of course, the $1,675 Main Event. The first of two starting flights in the property’s finale begins Friday, January 30 at noon. Up for grabs will be an expected six-figure first prize and a berth in the season-ending National Championship where a  $2,000,000 prize pool and a gold bracelet will be on the line.

  • Event 3: $365 no-limit hold’em - January 23, 12 p.m.
  • Event 4A: $365 re-entry - January 23, 5 p.m.
  • Event 4B: $365 re-entry - January 24, 12 p.m.
  • Event 4C: $365 re-entry - January 24, 12 p.m.
  • Event 5: $365 no-limit hold’em - January 25, 3 p.m.
  • Event 6: $365 six-handed - January 26, 12 p.m.
  • Event 7: $365 no-limit hold’em - January 27, 12 p.m.
  • Event 8: $365 no-limit hold’em - January 28, 12 p.m.
  • Event 9: $580 no-limit hold’em - January 29, 12 p.m.
  • Event 10A: $1,675 Main Event - January 30, 12 p.m.
  • Event 10B: $1,675 Main Event - January 31, 12 p.m.
  • Event 11: $365 turbo - January 31, 5 p.m.
  • Event 12: $365 no-limit hold’em, February 1, 3 p.m.

Non-ring events running during the series include a $250 pot-limit Omaha tournament, a $250 pot-limit Omaha hi-low tournament, a $250 HORSE tournament and nightly $135 no-limit hold’em tournaments.

While the Circuit has set up shop in Tunica dating back to the 2005/2006 season, this marks Horseshoe’s first time to host the series. The property was originally opened by Jack Binion, the son of WSOP founder Benny Binion, and the poker room recently received a major renovation making it the largest room in Tunica.
