St. Louis property hosts first-ever Black Chip Bounty event, two National Championship berths up for grabs.

St. Louis, Mo. (February 16, 2015) — The World Series of Poker Circuit continues this Thursday, February 19 at Lumiere Place in St. Louis, Mo. for the 14th of 21 stops on the 2014/2015 schedule. Up for grabs at the Midwest property will be 12 gold ring events, two National Championship berths and an expected six-figure first prize that heads to the Main Event champion.

Action kicks off with a $365 no-limit hold’em tournament while opening weekend is headlined by Friday and Saturday’s re-entry event. A Circuit staple, the re-entry tournament features two starting flights and permits unlimited re-entry through the registration period. Last year’s installment of the event saw Missourian Andrew Thompson navigate his way through a field of more than 800 to transform his $365 buy in into a score of nearly $50,000 and his first gold ring.

Other events set to grace this year’s Lumiere schedule include a $365 black chip bounty tournament — the first of it’s kind on the Circuit — and, of course, the $1,675 Main Event. The first starting flight in the championship event begins Friday, February 27 and is followed by the second and final flight the very next day. Players are permitted a total of one re-entry to be used in any combination of starts days — A-B, A-A- or B-B. In addition to the largest score of the 12-day series, the Main Event champion heads home with a Circuit gold ring and a berth in the National Championship where they’ll compete for their share of an up-to $2 million prize pool and a WSOP bracelet. Last year’s St. Louis finale saw Robert “Uncle Krunk” Panitch best Chicagoan Robert Edelstein in 10-hour heads-up match to earn his second gold ring and nearly $150,000 in prize money.
