KLIPSCH GOES ALL IN WITH THE WORLD SERIES OF POKER

Klipsch® goes all in with the World Series of Poker®

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (December 7, 2010) — Klipsch®, a leading global speaker manufacturer, is announcing today a strategic sponsorship of the World Series of Poker® (WSOP), the largest, richest and most prestigious gaming event in the world. Effective immediately, Klipsch will be an official sponsor and the brand will be highly visible during all WSOP events.

Serving as the official speaker and headphone sponsor, Klipsch will play a central role in on-site and online WSOP play.  Additionally, an array of Klipsch products will be available for purchase at each WSOP event and awarded to online qualifiers of the new free-to-play online game on WSOP.com. Klipsch will also provide exclusive coupons and promotions to WSOP participants, as well as contribute to event gift bags.

According to president Paul Jacobs, it made perfect sense for the company to become involved with the WSOP. Similar to Klipsch, the WSOP continues to captivate a global audience and occupies a loyal, enthusiastic fan base.

“Connecting with the WSOP’s large following and educating them on our different audio solutions presents such a wonderful opportunity for Klipsch,” Jacobs said. “We can’t wait to help WSOP participants and fans get and stay in the zone with our headphones and prove we’re their best bet when it comes to high performance audio.”

Featuring a comprehensive slate of tournaments in every major poker variation, the WSOP is poker’s longest running set of tournaments, dating back to 1970.  The high-stakes WSOP events attract participants and attendees from around the globe.  The WSOP paid out more than $187 million in prize money at its 2010 event and has awarded in excess of $1.2 billion in its history.

“Poker players have an unofficial uniform and it starts with a great pair of headphones,” said WSOP Vice President Ty Stewart. “Klipsch understands poker culture is pop culture and we plan to introduce them to an entire segment of influencers.”

No stranger to newsworthy events, Klipsch has previously been affiliated with some of entertainment’s most highly regarded gatherings, including the premiere of “The Runaways”, the Sundance Film Festival, the Academy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and the American Music Awards. Klipsch understands and values the importance of key influencers’ opinions, and enjoys providing them with premium audio solutions and educating them on the importance of high performance sound.
