2019 Thunder Valley Main Event Champion Thomas Kornechuk 

January 21, 2019 (Thunder Valley) - The latest ring winner in the World Series of Poker Circuit is Thomas Kornechuk, who has taken down the Thunder Valley Main Event for $193,439. The victory gives Kornechuk his first WSOP Circuit ring, his biggest career cash -- by a wide margin -- and also locks up an entry into the 2019 Global Casino Championship.

From 608 entries, just 17 players remained as Day 3 began, with Kornechuk roughly in the middle of the pack. Thunder Valley 2019 Main Event Champion Thomas Kornechuk

Just a few hands is all it takes as Brett Murray was left short-stacked and in need of a double. Thomas Kornechuk puts Murray all in for his remaining 560,000 stack and Murray calls, the two players turn over their hands.

The flop comes down     and both players hit a four. A   falls on the turn, giving Kornechuk two pair and sealing the deal as Murray is now drawing dead to the   on the river.

Thomas Kornechuk becomes the latest WSOP Circuit Main Event champion, winning his first ring and taking home $193,439.

Brett Murray is eliminated in second place and will be taking home $119,644 for his efforts.

Thomas Kornechuk opens to 350,000 from the button, Brett Murray defends and the dealer fans out     on the flop. Action checks to Kornechuk, he bets 800,000 and Murray calls.

The dealers flips over an   on the turn and both players check. A   falls on the river, Murray fires 1,000,000 into the pot and Kornechuk snap-calls. 

Murray announces,"You're good, seven high" and Kornechuk tables    for two pair, taking down the pot.

Brett Murray opens to 350,000 from the button, Thomas Kornechuk calls from the big blind and the flop falls    . Action checks to Murray, he bets 400,000, Kornechuk calls and a   lands on the turn. 

Action checks to Murray who bets 900,000, Kornechuk calls and the   falls on the river. Kornechuk checks, Murray moves all in and Kornechuk quickly folds surrendering the pot to Murray.

Action checks to Murray who bets 700,000, Kornechuk calls and a   lands on the river. Both players check, Kornechuk tables    for a pair of nines, Murray shows    for two pair, taking down the pot.

In another hand, Murray opens to 300,000 from the button, Kornechuk defends and the flop falls    . Action checks to Murray who bets 150,000, Kornechuk check-raises to 500,000 and Murray raises to 1,200,000. 

Kornechuk folds and Murray takes in yet another pot, evening out the stacks during heads-up play.

Brett Murray opens from the small blind, Jeremy Joseph calls and the dealer fans out     on the flop. Murray bets and Joseph moves all in for 3,335,000, Murray snap-calls.

Joseph tables    for top pair and Murray shows    for an over pair of dimes. The   lands on the turn and Murray is still ahead. An   hits the felt on the river and changes nothing as Murray takes down the pot, eliminating Joseph out in 3rd place.

Action checks to Joseph, he bets 700,000 and Murray moves all in for 2,325,000. Joseph sighs and he calls, Murray tables    fore three fives. Joseph shows    for three fives but a lower kicker, sending the pot to Murray.

Joseph announces all in for 3,550,000, Bracy thinks for a moment, but in the end calls for his 3,300,000 stack, players turn over their hands.
