The clock has been paused, the chips have been bagged, and play for Event 54 - $1,500 No Limit Hold'em has ended for the night. 375 players returned for Day 2, and once in the money play was quick and action packed with players falling left, right and center. Men 'The Master' Nguyen clocked up his 65th cash along with wife Van. Hevad Khan, Dean Hamrick, Anthony Harb, Carlos Mortensen and Raymond Rahme all cashed also. There will be 28 returning tomorrow with Sergey Konkin leading the pack on a healthy 1,480,000 in chips. Action then moved to Steven Rubinfeld in the big blind, who also thought long and hard about his hand before open folding pocket queens. A meaningless   hit the river, and Nguyen was down to just 4,000 while Malott increased his stack to nearly 430,000.

Mike Ratcliff told us about how he busted Mike Sica. Ratcliff said he made a standard preflop raise and got two callers. He then bet out on a flop of 3-2-7 with two hearts on the board. Sica raised all in, and Ratcliff called. Sica turned over the    for a flush draw while Ratcliff held pocket threes for a set. When the board bricked out, Sica went to the rail.
