Stud Poker Variations


Stud poker is a form that requires players to play with the cards they are dealt, not allowing them to replace cards at any stage in the game with a draw. Five Card Stud


The highest hand wins. Aces play as both high and low in straights. There is a three raise limit for each round.

Seven Card Stud


The highest hand wins. Aces play as both high and low in straights. There is a three raise limit for each round, and compulsory antes are in play.

Seven Card Stud High Low


The highest hand will split the pot with the lowest qualifying low hand. To qualify as a low hand, the hand must be at least or lower than: 8, 7, 6, 5, 4. Players are allowed to use any five hole cards to make the high and low hands. Aces play as both high and low.

Alligator Stud


The highest hand wins. Aces play as both high and low in straights. Players rotate clockwise from dealer during gameplay.

Auction Stud


In this game, both the high and low hands split the pot. Aces play as both high and low in straights. Players rotate clockwise from dealer during gameplay.

Baseball Stud


The highest hand wins. Aces play as both high and low in straights. Players rotate clockwise from dealer during gameplay.

Chicago Stud


The high hand and high spade in the hole split the pot. Aces play as both high and low in straights. Players rotate clockwise from dealer during gameplay.

Cowpie Stud


The highest five card hand and highest two card hand split the pot. Aces play as both high and low in straights. Players rotate clockwise from dealer during gameplay.

Crocodile Stud


The highest hand wins. Aces play as both high and low in straights. Players rotate clockwise from dealer during gameplay.

Dakota Stud


In this game, both the high and low hands split the pot. Aces play as both high and low in straights. Players rotate clockwise from dealer during gameplay.

Dirty Schultz Stud


The highest hand wins. Aces play as both high and low in straights. Players rotate clockwise from dealer during gameplay.

Follow the Queen Stud


The highest hand wins. Aces play as both high and low in straights. Players rotate clockwise from dealer during gameplay.

Harem Stud


The highest hand wins. Aces play as both high and low in straights. Players rotate clockwise from dealer during gameplay.

Both the high and low hands split the pot. Aces play as both high and low in straights on up cards. Aces in the hole are always considered high. Players rotate clockwise from dealer during gameplay.

Six Kick Stud


Both the high and low hands split the pot. Aces play as both high and low in straights. Players rotate clockwise from dealer during gameplay.

Tens and Adders Stud


The highest hand wins. Aces play as both high and low in straights. Players rotate clockwise from dealer during gameplay.
